The secretary-general of the league of Arab states, ahmed aboul gheit, called the situation in Libya “tragic”, but thankfully the people of Libya still feel that, after armed conflict, civil war and foreign interference, there must be a united national state for Libya, and population movements in the south of Libya threaten to alter demography.
Abul-Gheit said in an interview with the program “Public Opinion” through the channel “Ten”: “Turkish actions in relation to the Syrian file since 8 years, especially encouraging terrorist elements to pass through its territory, has complicated the Turkish-Arab relations.”
He continued “Turkey is responsible for the terrorists’ entry into Syria and Libya,” he said. “we do not deny the fact that those who have come through France, Britain, Belgium, Poland and Arab countries have crossed the Turkish border. When Turkey now accuses the Arab states that are opposing its military action and accusing them of supporting terrorism, as if Turkey were not asking about those who have crossed into Syria in eight years.
He continued: “There is a former Turkish minister now says: We have made a mistake, the tragedy here that a lot was masterminded and manufactured outside the territory,” adding: “The Qatari position on the reservation to the Arab League statement on the Turkish aggression did not affect the movements of the League, and it continues to communicate with the United Nations on the next actions.”
